Chester Bennington

Chester est né le 20 mars 1976 à Phoenix, en Arizona. Il vit actuellement à Redondo Beach, Los Angeles, Californie. Gaucher, Il mesure 1,78 mètres. Chester a deux (demi-?) sœurs et un demi-frère, Brian, de 13 ans son ainé. Ses parents ont divorcé alors qu'il n'avait qu'une dizaine d'années. Son père est un ancien policier et sa mère est infirmière. Enfant, Chester chantait dans toute la maison en s'imaginant être le 5° membre de Depeche Mode. Avant d'être le chanteur de Linkin Park, il a effectué plusieurs petits boulots : assistant dans une firme digital-services, il a également travaillé dans un bar.

Chester a sa propre idée de la religion : « Je crois en Dieu mais je ne pratique pas, prêche ou discute ouvertement de ma propre idée ».

Le 31 octobre 1996, alors agé de 20 ans, il se marie avec Samantha. Comme ils n'avaient pas beaucoup d'argent pour se permettre un vrai mariage et s'acheter des alliances, ils se sont fait tatouer celles-ci sur leurs doigts. Son premier enfant, Draven Sebastian Bennington, est né le 19 avril 2002. Le 2 mai 2005, après 8 ans et 1/2 de mariage, le couple divorce.

Le 31 décembre 2005, Chester épouse sa petite amie du moment, Talinda Bentley (qui s'est fait connaître en posant nue dans des magazines). Ensemble, il ont eu un garçon, Tyler Lee, né le 16 mars 2006.

Chester aurait aussi un autre fils, Jaime, âgé de 10 ans. Mais on ne sait pas s'il est son fils biologique ou s'il est le beau-fils de Chester. Dans une interview, Chester dit : « J'ai 3 fils, j'ai adopté le plus âgé. J'ai adopté son frère en tant que mon propre fils, donc j'ai 4 enfants ».

Guns N' Roses

Le groupe rock Guns N'Roses naît en 1985. Composé de Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Axl Rose, Duff McKagan et Steven Adler, le groupe enregistre un mini album en 1986 puis l'album Appetite for Destruction. En 1988, il enregistre G N' R Lies. Au début des années 90, Matt Sorum remplace Steven Adler. Le groupe est rejoint par Dizzy Reed et enregistre deux albums Use Your Illusion I et Use Your Illusion II en 1991. Le succès va grandissant. Suivent, entres autres, les disques The Spaghetti Incident ? en 1993, Era 87-93 et Chinese Democracy.
